Marvel's "Agatha All Along" Premieres This Fall on Disney+

Marvel Studios has now officially announced the highly anticipated spin-off series, "Agatha All Along," set to debut on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. This new series, a continuation of the events from "WandaVision," will feature Kathryn Hahn reprising her Emmy-nominated role as Agatha Harkness. The show promises to delve deeper into Agatha's story and magical escapades, bringing more mystical adventures to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Plot and Cast
"Agatha All Along" picks up after Agatha Harkness was trapped in her "Agnes" persona by Wanda Maximoff in the finale of "WandaVision." The series follows Agatha as she attempts to regain her powers and navigate a perilous quest involving unlikely allies. Expect a mix of dark magic, witty humor, and compelling character dynamics as Agatha embarks on her journey.
The series boasts an impressive cast alongside Kathryn Hahn, including Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. Additional cast members such as Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia will appear in undisclosed roles. There are also rumors of a possible cameo by Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff.
Creative Team
The show is created by Jac Schaeffer, who also served as head writer for "WandaVision." Schaeffer will direct several episodes along with Gandja Monteiro. The series is produced by Marvel Studios with executive producers Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Brad Winderbaum. Notably, the production will feature musical elements, with new songs penned by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who created the iconic "Agatha All Along" song from "WandaVision".
Release and Format
"Agatha All Along" will premiere with two episodes on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, and will consist of a total of nine episodes. The series is expected to explore Agatha's backstory, her magical abilities, and her interactions with new and familiar faces within the MCU.
